Stumbling Into Infinity: An Ordinary Man in the Sphere of Enlightenment
By: Michael Fischman
My Review:
Let me preface this with the fact that I’m usually not a fan of “enlightenment” books, but this one changed my mind!
Stumbling Into Infinity, by Michael Fischman, is a book based on the journey of the author, a very successful advertising executive who was raised in a strict Jewish household, abused as a child and has suffered many losses. As a youngster, he lost his mother and without her there, never really felt loved or was taught how to feel love.
Michael eventually decides to leave his successful career in search of a deeper meaning to his life. During his journey, he meets up with an old friend who recommends he attend the Art of Living Course which is headed by Ravi Shankar and revolves around Sudarsshan Kriya’s teachings of a “life force energy technique”. These teachings begin a spiritual transformation for Michael as he learns the techniques himself and eventually becomes a teacher and travels the world spreading the message of hope and spiritual enlightenment of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
Along the way, the author is so honest about his feelings and the mistakes he has made; he really opens his entire life for all to see and learn from.
I found this book very easy to read because I was engrossed within the first few paragraphs. It will make you laugh and cry and left me searching my own soul for answers. I recommend this book for anyone that feels there is more to life and wants to read about an amazing, soul searching journey!
