iMustech 5 Pcs Fruit Knives Set

This is actually a very cool set of fruit slicers and all of them are pretty handy to have around. Obviously, most of these tools won’t be used on a daily basis, but let’s face it, if you need to core a pineapple, you need a pineapple corer – and it’s not like you can quickly run out and get one!

I’ve tested two of the slicer only because I didn’t have the fruit needed to do the others – but I will this weekend so I’ll update then. The tools I used were the banana slicer and the strawberry stem gem. I actually kind of chuckled when I saw a banana slicer because it’s super easy to just peel and slice one without the slicer. BUT, once you take a look at the video I’ve posted at the bottom of this page, you will see why I love it so much! I eat a banana and strawberries every day of my life, so this morning I decided to give these tools a whirl while making my breakfast.

First one I tried was the banana slicer and it is simple and straightforward to use. Peel your banana, put it in the slicer, press the handle and VOILA!, you have the most perfectly sliced bananas – in like 2 seconds! (see above pic). It was so easy and quick that I promise, I will be using it every, single day. It will also come in so handy when making a big fruit salad for a crowd – which I do about every couple of weeks. After use, I took my sink sprayer, sprayed it down, hit with a sponge and it is clean. Love it!

After that glowing review of the banana slicer, my review of the strawberry stem gem is not quite as good. This is just an OK tool for me, but I do think caterers would really appreciate something like this. You press the button and a claw comes out of the tool, you press it into the strawberry stem and you pull out the core of the strawberry. It worked just fine and it didn’t take much effort, however, I found that too much of the strawberry comes out with it for my liking. I’ll probably stick to cutting the tops off and slicing. I must say this though; my daughter walked in while I was doing this and she said it would be really handy if you planned to fill the strawberries with something – and I agree, it would.

As stated before, I haven’t used the other tools but will this weekend and post some pictures. Looking real forward to using the pineapple corer because it is a true pain to do that and I love fresh pineapple. Overall, this is a tremendously handy set and would be a gift to add to a bridal shower or house warming basket.
